
At the first working session, the Congress addressed important issues including: consultation on the election of the Presidium and Secretary of the Congress; approval of the program, rules, and regulations of the Congress; a summary report on the delegates; consultation on the voting method; and consideration of the draft political report as well as comments on the draft amendments to the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The Congress also heard the review report of the Dak Lak Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2019-2024 term.
Accordingly, during the 2019-2024 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province promoted the spirit of solidarity, unity, and collective intelligence to effectively implement action programs. In particular, the Committee focused on innovating the content and methods of its activities, while effectively implementing campaigns and emulation movements. Simultaneously, it actively implemented the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".
By the end of 2023, 78 out of 151 communes in the province had been recognized as having completed the New Rural Development Program, including one commune that completed the advanced New Rural Development Program and one district-level unit, Buon Ma Thuot city, that completed the New Rural Development Program for the 2016-2020 period.

The movement "Following the mindset and practices of ethnic minority communities" has also achieved significant results, with the "For the Poor" fund raising 107 billion 638 million VND, building 1,395 solidarity houses, and supporting many poor households. The poverty rate in the province decreased to 9.15% by the end of 2023.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province also implemented relief activities and mobilized the "Gratitude and Repayment" fund, with a total donation amount reaching 48 billion 199 million VND. These activities contributed to supporting poor households, people in difficult circumstances, and implementing social welfare policies.
Patriotic emulation movements and the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front have created many exemplary models in environmental protection and promoting the spirit of national unity. Models such as "Self-managed road sections for environmental protection" and "Women's self-managed environmental protection" have attracted widespread public participation, contributing to building a "green, clean, and beautiful" environment in 2,421 residential areas in the province.
With the spirit of "Unity - Democracy - Responsibility - Innovation - Development," the XVth Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, for the term 2024-2029, comprises 93 members. The second working session of the Congress will be held tomorrow morning, August 28th.
