Krong Pac District: Implementing preferential credit for people who have completed their prison sentences

The Social Policy Bank (CSXH) of Krong Pac district is conducting a survey on the loan needs of people who have completed their prison sentences to guide, support and implement a preferential credit package according to Decision No. 22/2023/QD-TTg, dated August 17, 2023 of the Prime Minister .

Persons who have completed their prison sentence and return to their local residence must ensure the following conditions: need to borrow capital from the Social Policy Bank for vocational training, production, business, and job creation; comply with the provisions of the law, not participate in social evils; the time from the completion of the prison sentence to the time of borrowing capital must not exceed 5 years.

In Krong Pac district, there are currently 137 people who have completed their prison sentences and returned to reside in the locality. To ensure that the capital is used for the right purposes and for the right subjects, the Social Policy Bank of Krong Pac district is actively coordinating with the government and socio- political organizations to survey and grasp the needs, aspirations, and actual conditions of individuals and families of people who have completed their prison sentences.

The Social Policy Bank will provide loans through the households of people who have completed their prison sentences, and also through socio-political organizations. The maximum loan amount for people who have completed their prison sentences to carry out production, business, and create jobs is 100 million VND/person and no loan guarantee is required. The maximum loan term is 120 months with an interest rate equal to the lending interest rate for poor households prescribed for each period.

In addition, those who have completed their prison sentences can also borrow capital for vocational training with a maximum loan of 4 million VND/month/person. Production and business establishments that employ at least 10% of their total employees who have completed their prison sentences can borrow up to 2 billion VND/project and not more than 100 million VND/employee at the establishment.
