On November 3rd, the Ministry of Public Security announced that the Criminal Police Department, in coordination with the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police, had dismantled a prostitution ring.
On October 30th, the Investigation Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security issued a decision to initiate a criminal case for pimping and to prosecute three defendants: Huynh Thanh Thuan (born in 1990, residing in District 4, Ho Chi Minh City, working as a makeup artist and personal stylist), Pham Do Nhat Duy (born in 1985, residing in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, a freelance worker), and Le Thi Thu Thao (born in 1985, residing in Kien Giang province, a freelance worker).
The aforementioned decisions and orders have been approved by the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
During questioning at the investigative agency, the three defendants confessed to engaging in pimping activities since the beginning of 2023. During this time, Thuan, Thao, and Duy brokered prostitution deals for numerous women and clients, earning hundreds of millions of dong in illicit profits.

On October 24th, after someone requested to purchase sex from young, beautiful prostitutes active in the showbiz industry, Huynh Ngoc Thuan introduced TTL, LHP, and HPTH as models, beauty queens, and singers currently active in the Vietnamese showbiz industry, frequently appearing in the media, and having a large following on social media.
The price for clients to pay for sex services in this case ranged from 60 million to 100 million VND per domestic tour (2 days) and 6,000 USD for an overseas tour (2 days).
On the same day, a task force led by the Ministry of Public Security caught three couples in the act of buying and selling prostitution. The prostitutes were identified as VTTT (model, hot TikToker), HPTH (model, hot Facebooker), and LHP (model, beauty queen of the Asian beauty industry).
At that time, authorities also prevented a couple who had completed exit procedures at Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) from traveling to Singapore to engage in prostitution under the guise of overseas tourism; the prostitute was identified as TTL (a singer).

Based on the evidence collected, the Investigation Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security summoned and conducted an urgent search of the residences of Huynh Thanh Thuan, Pham Do Nhat Duy, and Le Thi Thu Thao for the act of brokering prostitution.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the Criminal Police Department has recently discovered that prostitution brokering and trafficking activities continue to take place in Vietnam's showbiz industry in various forms and with sophisticated methods, negatively impacting Vietnam's cultural traditions. Those involved in pimping are often individuals directly connected to the showbiz industry.
