Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2024 takes place from April 19 to 26, 2024 with many activities such as: Donating books and theses to the Provincial Library; artistic book model arrangement contest; book promotion and introduction; book cover design contest... In addition, readers can also visit book stalls and read books for free, buy books at preferential prices of 10-20% discount from book publishing companies.
Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and delegates cut the ribbon to open the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the organization of Book and Reading Culture Day in 2024 and the following years will create a series of cultural activities associated with books. This is a place to crystallize, converge and spread the love of books to all classes of people, creating an increasingly closer connection between books and readers, towards building and developing a reading culture in community life. He hopes that agencies and units will continue to do a good job of information, propaganda, mobilizing community participation in investing in developing a reading culture and organizing activities to spread reading culture, encourage and develop reading culture in the community, contributing to building a learning society. Units organize propaganda, introduction, guidance on book selection and reading skills on mass media suitable for each subject, contributing to building reading habits, interests and skills for each person.
