On the evening of November 13, at the Provincial Sports Stadium, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial People's Committee chaired and coordinated with provinces and cities representing regions across the country to organize the opening ceremony of the Exhibition "Cultural Heritage Space and Traditional Craft Products".
Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism ; Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee; representatives of a number of units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities participating in the Exhibition, and a large number of local people.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong affirmed: The exhibition "Cultural Heritage Space and Traditional Craft Products" is a typical cultural and tourism activity to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23). This is also a practical activity to introduce, promote and honor the cultural values, relics and scenic spots of Vietnam to the people of the whole country and international friends. At the same time, it affirms the potential for cultural and tourism development among localities nationwide, creating a strong driving force to attract resources for tourism development, enhancing the position and image of the country and people of Vietnam.
The exhibition takes place from November 13-19, 2023, with the participation of 15 provinces and cities across the country. The rich and typical activities at the exhibition include: honoring tangible and intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO, historical relics, typical landscapes of Vietnam, popular destinations for tourists, daily life, culture of people in different regions... through 250 artistic photos of selected and displayed photographers.
The exhibition also introduces the cultural characteristics of ethnic groups in the treasure trove of Vietnamese cultural heritage with cultural values bearing their own regional identities, reflecting tradition, history and national pride.
The Organizing Committee selected to display more than 100 typical products of artisans, traditional craft villages and award-winning works at the "Vietnam Handicraft Product Contest 2023", at the same time introducing the display space of a number of craft villages, units, and demonstration activities of artisans from traditional craft villages; display and sale area of traditional handicraft products and agricultural products, OCOP products, ornamental plants; regional culinary space introducing traditional cuisine of the North - Central - South...
Also during the exhibition, the cultural and artistic program "Heritage Colors" will introduce the nation's intangible cultural heritage, traditional folk art forms such as Xam singing, Chau Van singing, Then singing, Sli singing, Xoan singing, Central Highlands gongs, Ao Dai performances of historical periods... contributing to honoring cultural heritage, arousing national pride.
In his welcoming speech, Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, thanked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for its attention and support for the cultural, sports and tourism cause of Ninh Binh province. He also thanked the Central Committees, ministries, branches, agencies, provinces and cities nationwide for their support, assistance, encouragement and experience sharing so that Ninh Binh province can continue to develop rapidly, strongly and sustainably, especially for its diverse activities to participate in the Exhibition "Cultural Heritage Space and Traditional Craft Products" in Ninh Binh.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: With its special geographical location, Ninh Binh is a point of intersection, convergence, and dissemination of the cultural colors of the Red River Delta. Generations of Ninh Binh people have created valuable cultural heritages, both bearing the unique identity of the locality and the typical cultural features of the Northern Delta.
Ninh Binh is also the birthplace and nurturer of many Vietnamese talents and was once the capital of three Vietnamese feudal dynasties: Dinh, Tien Le, and Ly. Along with that, nature has bestowed upon Ninh Binh many scenic spots with amazing beauty and unique cultural values, notably the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex with outstanding global values in culture, geology, and geomorphology, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Natural, historical, and cultural elements have blended together to create a diverse Ninh Binh rich in cultural identity...
The exhibition "Cultural Heritage Space and Traditional Craft Products" held in Ninh Binh is an opportunity for officials and people in the province to visually approach the cultural heritages, scenic spots, traditional craft products of localities and regions across the country through images, artifacts, and products on display and enjoy special art performances in the performance program, art exchange with the theme "Heritage Colors". The diverse and rich activities at the Exhibition will contribute to fostering pride, raising the sense of responsibility of each individual and the community in preserving and promoting the values of the good cultural heritage left by our ancestors.
Towards the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23, together with the coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the Exhibition "Cultural Heritage Space and Traditional Craft Products", Ninh Binh province is urgently completing preparations to organize the 2nd Ninh Binh Festival. This is a large-scale cultural event including a series of unique cultural and artistic activities, distilling and introducing outstanding and typical values of the cultural heritage of Ninh Binh and other regions in the country.
The opening program also featured performances and art exchanges. Afterwards, delegates cut the ribbon to open the Exhibition and visited the exhibition spaces of the localities.
