Accordingly, people from many villages gathered at the Ia Lâu Commune Health Station to receive medical examinations. Ms. Luong Thi Hong, a 67-year-old woman of the Muong ethnic group residing in Pac Bo village (Ia Lâu commune), traveled more than 4km with her son from early morning to reach the examination point. Ms. Hong said that for many years, she has experienced tremors and joint pain, making it difficult to walk. "It's a remote and difficult place here, and I don't have the means to go to the city for medical checkups. Now that I heard that doctors from Pleiku City are coming, I told my son to arrange his work so we could go for an examination right away," Ms. Hong shared.
Mr. Nong Van Tinh (59 years old, Da Bac village) said he was very happy to have stable health results after receiving free medical examinations from the doctors. “We villagers are very happy to hear that we will receive free examinations and medicine. People here are in difficult circumstances, and many don't even know they are sick, so I find this free medical examination very meaningful. The people are very excited. Thank you to all levels of government, departments, and doctors for coming here to provide free medical examinations for the villagers,” Mr. Tinh expressed.

After examination, screening, and classification of each disease group, doctors will advise people on how to take care of their health and nourish their bodies. If they have any illnesses, they will be advised on treatment methods and provided with free medicine kits. Through this health check-up program, many cases of serious illnesses have been detected in time, allowing people to be referred to higher-level hospitals for treatment.
Dr. Bui Viet Hoang, Deputy Medical Director of Hung Vuong Hospital in Gia Lai, said: "The free medical examination and medication distribution is one of the meaningful healthcare programs organized by the hospital to help people in remote areas who have limited access to medical services. It also provides health advice and education so that people can prevent common diseases."
The funding for the free medical examination and medication distribution for 300 people amounted to over 30 million VND, allocated from the budget of Hung Vuong Gia Lai Hospital.
