Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, attended and delivered a speech.
Accordingly, in the spring of 1951, the Second Congress of the Party, held in Viet Bac, decided to establish and publish the Nhan Dan Newspaper, the central organ of the Vietnam Labor Party. On March 11, 1951, in Khuon Nha hamlet, Quy Ky commune, Dinh Hoa district ( Thai Nguyen province), the Le Hong Phong printing house printed and published the first issue of the Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Throughout the time working here, the people of Quy Ky commune, especially Khuon Nha hamlet, wholeheartedly cared for, assisted, and protected the publication and distribution of Nhan Dan Newspaper to convey the voice of the Party and Government , while also reflecting current events at home and abroad, and the widespread revolutionary movement to encourage the entire Party, people, and army to enthusiastically resist and build the nation.
Therefore, this is a historically significant site that encouraged the revolutionary movement during the resistance war, and is also a milestone in the formation, development, and growth of Nhan Dan Newspaper. In 2019, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially recognized Nhan Dan Newspaper as a National Historical Monument.
The construction, restoration, and renovation of the memorial plaque commemorating the first issue of the Nhan Dan Newspaper is being carried out on an area of nearly 350 square meters, including a 59 square meter two-story memorial plaque; the commemorative plaque is made of solid, monolithic green stone; the memorial grounds, including the courtyard, trees, and functional areas, are beautifully designed to suit the landscape and topography.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, emphasized: In accordance with the principle of "Drinking water, remembering the source," Nhan Dan Newspaper has recently implemented a project to build, restore, and beautify the historical site, making it spacious, impressive, and sustainable, befitting the role and position of the Party Newspaper, and serving as a "red address" for educating future generations of Nhan Dan Newspaper staff and visitors from all over the world about historical traditions.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh affirmed: The investment in building, restoring, and preserving the historical site of the first issue of Nhan Dan Newspaper demonstrates the gratitude of today's Party newspaper staff to previous generations; it is a place for propagating and educating about the glorious traditions of Nhan Dan Newspaper. Through this, Nhan Dan Newspaper continues to uphold its role as the Party's political and ideological banner on the journalistic front; it is a reliable and close address for the people, with the goal that wherever there are people, there is Nhan Dan Newspaper.
The comrade suggested that the functional units of Nhan Dan Newspaper continue to coordinate with the local government and people to effectively manage, preserve, and promote the value of the historical site commemorating the first issue of Nhan Dan Newspaper in the long term, so that together with the memorial monument of the Nhan Dan Newspaper Editorial Board working in Khuon Dien village, Kim Quan commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province, they will become important connecting points in the network of historical sites of the ATK Dinh Hoa National Special Historical Site and the Tan Trao National Special Historical Site.
