According to the planning of the high-speed railway route through Binh Thuan , it is about 156km long, with two modern stations and synchronous traffic connections to highways and coastal routes.
On the morning of November 16, information from the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province said that the provincial leaders had just inspected the construction site of the North-South high-speed railway project through the province.

The government submitted the investment plan for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis to the National Assembly in October 2024.
According to the initial plan, the high-speed railway route through Binh Thuan province will be approximately 156km long.
Specifically, two railway stations are located at Phan Rí station (Bắc Bình district) and Phan Thiết station. In addition, four railway infrastructure maintenance stations are planned.
Regarding the proposal to add Song Phan station, the Ministry of Transport has determined that this is a potential station and has assigned the Provincial People's Committee to attract investment when conditions are met.
Phan Ri station is about 5km from Phan Ri Cua town center, the distance to Thap Cham station (Ninh Thuan) is 66.7km, the distance to Phan Thiet station is 65.4km.
The North-South high-speed railway passes through 20 provinces and cities, starting from Ngoc Hoi station (Hanoi capital) and ending at Thu Thiem station (Ho Chi Minh City).
Phan Ri Station is a passenger station with 3 functional areas including: the area directly serving passengers, the square, and the parking lot with an area of 6 - 8 hectares. The service and commercial area has an area of 10 - 15 hectares, and the urban service area has an area of 250 - 300 hectares.
Within the scope of the project, public investment capital will be used to invest in functional areas directly serving the reception and departure of guests. The part serving service and commercial purposes will be implemented by the locality calling for investors.
The station is designed with two elevated levels, two ramps, and four tracks located on the second level, while the waiting area is on the first level.
The parking area and station plaza will be planned and located within the station's land clearance area...
For traffic routes connecting to the station, the locality will select strategic investors with sufficient capacity to invest and allocate resources to build traffic routes connecting to the station.

At the survey, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai said that the investment project to build the North-South high-speed railway section through the province, once completed, will contribute to promoting the province's socio-economic development.
He requested that relevant departments and agencies, and the People's Committee of Bac Binh district, study planning options for a road connecting to Phan Ri station.
