Reward for those who helped treat suspected poisoning victim after housewarming party

Those who quietly reported and coordinated to rescue people in the suspected food poisoning case in Chrôh Pơnan village, Ia Hiao commune, Gia Lai province have been unexpectedly rewarded. They are considered by the commune as “heroes” who contributed to protecting the lives of the community.

The Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee unexpectedly rewarded the heroes who participated in treating the victims of suspected poisoning.

On August 31, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Ia Hiao commune, Gia Lai province, organized a meeting and unexpectedly rewarded 3 groups and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in treating victims suspected of food poisoning after a housewarming party in Chrôh Pơnan village (Ia Hiao commune).

The commended collectives include Ayun Pa Medical Center, Phu Thien Medical Center and Chrôh Pơnan Village Party Cell. The six individuals commended are the Directors of the two medical centers, the Secretary of the village Party Cell, the Head of the Front Work Committee, the Head of the Chrôh Pơnan Village Women's Union, and Mr. Y Cúc Mlô (commonly known as Nay Lợi), who directly called the hotline to report the news to the Commune Party Committee Secretary, helping the locality promptly deploy a rescue plan.

Mr. Pham Van Phuong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ia Hiao Commune, said that immediately after receiving information about the suspected poisoning, the commune promptly implemented many measures such as zoning, screening related people to mobilize them for emergency care, providing medical care and food for patients during their hospitalization. Thanks to the synchronous participation, all victims were fully cared for, and no one's life was in danger.

As of this morning, 45/131 patients in the localities have been discharged from the hospital, the rest continue to be monitored in stable health condition. The commune also committed to ensuring treatment costs for those without health insurance, not letting anyone face difficulties.

“The collectives and individuals who were awarded today are all heroes in the rescue of the victims. They have made important contributions from timely reporting to coordinating the handling, with the participation of the entire grassroots political system. Thanks to that, people's lives were absolutely protected,” Mr. Phuong emphasized.

Mr. Pham Van Phuong also said that after operating the new commune apparatus, Ia Hiao determined the goal of serving the people, and at the same time hoped that people would continue to provide information so that the locality could do a good job of taking care of community life.

As reported by SGGP Newspaper, after a housewarming party at a household in Chrôh Pơnan village (Ia Hiao commune), many people had symptoms of vomiting, stomachache, and fever. Upon discovering the incident, Mr. Y Cúc Mlô went to the Facebook page “Ia Hiao New Day” to find the phone number of the Party Secretary of the commune, then directly called to report the news so that the commune could direct the treatment of the people. Immediately, the commune isolated, screened, and took people to medical facilities for emergency treatment. 131 people related to the incident were taken to 2 medical facilities for emergency treatment. Thanks to the timely intervention, the people's health has stabilized.
