Construction begins on charitable housing for policy beneficiaries and families in difficult circumstances.

This afternoon, March 29, at Nai Cuu village, Trieu Thanh commune, Trieu Phong district, the Standing Committee of Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union coordinated with Tien Phong Newspaper and Vietnam Tobacco Corporation to organize the groundbreaking ceremony to build 10 charity houses for former Youth Volunteers and people in difficult circumstances in the province.

The charitable houses built this time are distributed across the following districts and towns: Trieu Phong (1 house), Hai Lang (1 house), Quang Tri town (2 houses), Gio Linh (1 house), Vinh Linh (2 houses), and Huong Hoa (3 houses). Each charitable house receives a subsidy of 60 million VND.

At the ceremony, the organizing committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a charitable house for Ms. Hoang Thi Suu, 63 years old, residing in Nai Cuu village, Trieu Thanh commune, Trieu Phong district. Ms. Suu is from a near-poor household, lives alone, lacks a stable livelihood, and has been living with her brother for many years. Therefore, this charitable house will meet her housing and living needs and help her overcome difficulties in life.

The commencement of construction on these 10 charitable houses is in response to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025" launched by the Prime Minister and the message "Millions of loving hearts, thousands of happy homes" of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, with the determination to ensure that no one has to live in temporary or dilapidated houses anymore.
