Launching the 2023 “Xiaomi International Theme” competition

Today, July 28, Xiaomi officially launched the 2023 “Xiaomi International Theme” competition. This is the second year that Xiaomi International Internet Business (IIB) has organized this annual event.

With the slogan “Global Expression - Local Inspiration”, the competition attracts all-round designers from all Xiaomi markets to create MIUI Themes inspired by local images and motifs.

“The “Xiaomi International Theme” design competition is an important branding campaign in Xiaomi’s international technology business, demonstrating our commitment to building MIUI with fun customizations for everyone,” said Ms. Chan Liu, General Manager of Xiaomi International Internet Business Department.

Along with the announcement of the contest, Xiaomi International Internet Business Department also released a series of videos highlighting the talents of the designers behind a series of popular Themes. These videos are stories of the collaborative spirit that is the identity of the Xiaomi Community.

A total of four short videos were featured, each telling the story of a Xiaomi Theme designer. Manolo from Italy is a freelancer and created a Black and White Theme with over 20 million downloads.

The competition will accept entries from July 28 to November 1, 2023 at: https://zhuti.designer.intl.xiaomi.com/theme-competition-2023-outer/home. The expert evaluation and voting process will start from November 1 to December 28, 2023, after which the winning designs will be announced and awarded. A prize of $13,000 will be awarded to the first prize winner of the competition.
