The contest is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of Voice of Vietnam (September 7, 1945 - September 7, 2025) and welcome new students for the 2025-2026 school year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Kim Ngoc Anh, Principal of the school and Head of the Competition Steering Committee, emphasized that the competition aims to inspire the bravery, confidence and love for the profession of female students. At the same time, it creates a professional training environment for them to test their abilities and shine.

Unlike many other beauty pageants, contestants are not only evaluated on their appearance and performing talent, but also have to demonstrate their radio and television hosting skills, as well as their ability to communicate and handle situations professionally, qualities needed to become a professional journalist, media MC, or broadcaster.

The highlight of the competition is the scholarship program "Lighting up the dreams of youth", which is expected to award at least 20 scholarships (each worth 2 million VND) to students in difficult circumstances who have the will to study and excel in life.
Contestants are female students studying at educational institutions in Ho Chi Minh City (regardless of major, training level or training form). Candidates must be 1.58m or taller, love the field of media, radio and television, and want to assert themselves in a professional journalism and media environment.
The competition will take place over a month with three rounds: preliminary, semi-final and final. The final is scheduled to take place on October 10.
