The project spans over 100.7km across the province, requiring the acquisition of over 940 hectares of land, encompassing 4,285 plots belonging to individuals, agencies, and organizations. On October 8th, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to launch a 90-day campaign for land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement for this project.
Regarding specific progress, as of October 21st, the issuance of land acquisition notices has reached 99.2%; land surveying has reached 98.1%; and regarding land origin determination, branches have transferred over 60% of dossiers for review, but only 44.6% have been reviewed as planned. The entire project currently has 32.7% of the land handed over.
Meanwhile, as previously committed, the project must achieve 60% land handover by the end of October. Branches of the Provincial Land Development Center are striving to complete 100% of the land acquisition notices, inventory of assets attached to the land, and the determination of the origin of the acquired land, assets attached to the acquired land, and other related matters by October 31st. The draft compensation and support plan will be publicly posted for at least 90% of the land area. At least 60% of the land will also be handed over.

According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha, the progress of the work is still behind schedule. Currently, only over 32.7% of the land has been cleared, while the target is to reach 60% by the end of October, 90% by the end of November, and essentially complete it by the end of December. Therefore, it requires the utmost effort from all relevant departments, agencies, and localities.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee specifically noted that units must not fall behind the committed deadlines for land clearance work; those who are late will be held responsible. The provincial leadership requested the creation of a "green channel" in land clearance and a quick response to inquiries and concerns. Progress reports must be submitted daily, as even a one-day delay can significantly impact the overall progress.
In land clearance, the approach of persuasion remains the primary method and must be persistent. It is necessary to categorize and identify difficult cases to find solutions, following the principle of "going door-to-door." In the coming period, Dong Nai has many more key national infrastructure projects; therefore, the province wants to use the results and effectiveness of the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway project as a model to replicate in subsequent projects.
