Practical effectiveness of support programs
According to data from the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long province, in the first 9 months of 2025, the Vinh Long Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion implemented 11 projects to support the application of advanced machinery and equipment with a total cost of 1.81 billion VND, and at the same time organized 2 vocational training classes for rural workers, contributing to improving production capacity and creating more jobs for people.
Notably, recently, two projects "Supporting the application of advanced machinery and equipment in ceramic production" at Sau Mung Company Limited (Cai Nhum Commune) and Phong Van Private Enterprise (Thanh Duc Ward) have been accepted and started to bring about results. Phong Van Private Enterprise invested in 1 soil mixer and 2 large pot rotating machines worth 270 million VND, and was supported with 127 million VND from the project "Enhancing the value chain of the red ceramic production industry in Vinh Long province in the period 2021-2025". Sau Mung Company was supported with 28 million VND to invest in an air compressor worth 60 million VND.
Thanks to the application of advanced equipment, ceramic production facilities have increased productivity, reduced costs, and significantly improved product quality, aiming to build a stronger Vinh Long ceramic brand in the market. This is a concrete demonstration of the effectiveness of industrial promotion policies, when state resources are invested in the right place, helping businesses develop in a modern and sustainable direction.

In addition, Vinh Long province has strongly implemented propaganda and dissemination of industrial promotion policies, helping production establishments clearly understand the mechanism and proactively participate in support programs. Many businesses have continued to invest in expanding their scale, innovating equipment, applying clean technology, aiming for green production and digital transformation.
In particular, in the selection of typical rural industrial products, Vinh Long has 8 products and product sets reaching the national level by 2025, the results clearly show the increasing quality and competitiveness of local products.
Promoting potential, aiming for sustainable development
According to a report from the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long, after the merger, Vinh Long has many advantages to develop rural industry thanks to its open economic space, abundant raw materials and diverse labor force. Streamlining the administrative apparatus helps increase concentration in direction, shorten the coordination process between levels, creating favorable conditions for implementing industrial promotion projects.
In the coming period, the province determines that industrial promotion work must closely follow the practical needs of enterprises and production establishments, taking efficiency as a measure. Accordingly, Vinh Long will focus on: Perfecting the organizational apparatus, unifying the coordination process from the province to the grassroots, ensuring smooth and effective industrial promotion activities; enhancing training and professional development for industrial promotion officers, especially in new communes after the merger, helping to improve management capacity and timely support for enterprises.
Develop a mechanism to encourage regional linkages, prioritize the development of traditional industries, cleaner production models, and technological innovation projects, while combining industrial promotion with trade promotion, e-commerce, and tourism to expand product consumption markets. Strengthen surveys and inspections at the grassroots level to promptly grasp difficulties and adjust support policies to match reality.
At the same time, the province aims to develop key industry value chains, form competitive regional brands, and contribute to promoting the construction of modern and sustainable new rural areas. The process of digital transformation, e-commerce and innovation is also considered a "double lever" for Vinh Long's rural industry to make a breakthrough in the coming time.
It can be said that industrial promotion is becoming an important “key” in the development of rural industry in Vinh Long. From supporting machinery, training workers, to developing brands and promoting trade, each activity aims at the common goal of improving competitiveness, promoting sustainable production, and improving people's lives.
The Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long has developed a local industrial promotion plan for 2025 with a total budget of over VND 8.4 billion. In particular, the project "Improving the value chain of the red ceramic industry" (VND 1.27 billion) and the project "Developing local brands" (VND 196 million) will be implemented. At the same time, Vinh Long has proposed national industrial promotion projects with an estimated support budget of VND 2.7 billion, aiming to expand the scale of support for many key rural industrial sectors.
