Over the years, the National Power Transmission Corporation has implemented numerous solutions to replace substation and transmission line equipment in major repair projects, routine maintenance, and construction investments, achieving good results in ensuring safe and reliable operation of the transmission grid.
Contributing to that success are the exemplary workers who have actively promoted initiatives, improved technical processes, rationalized production, and applied advancements in information technology to new solutions in the management and operation of the power grid system. This has contributed to improving the management and operation of the national power transmission grid.
Present at the construction site of the 500kV circuit 3 power line section from Quang Trach to Quynh Luu, witnessing the arduous work of the laborers installing each horizontal and vertical beam of the power poles, over 80m high, located on the majestic and windy Hoanh Son mountain range, I had the opportunity to meet the director, a passionate researcher with many innovative ideas and improvements in the management and operation of the power transmission grid – Engineer Nguyen Sy Thang, Director of Ha Tinh Power Transmission (TTD), Power Transmission Company 1 (PTC1).
Speaking about his initiatives, engineer Nguyen Sy Thang smiled and said, " If you love your job, you will work enthusiastically and explore new things and new ways to solve problems that arise during the performance of your duties. "
Engineer Nguyen Sy Thang is known as the "innovation expert" of PTC1, as many of his innovations have been successfully applied in the management and operation of the national power transmission grid. These innovations have brought benefits ranging from tens of millions to tens of billions of VND to the power industry and the country.
Speaking about the exemplary work ethic of engineer Nguyen Sy Thang, Mr. Dinh Sy Tri Hoang – Technical Department, Secretary of the Youth Union of Ha Tinh Power Transmission Company – said: "As a leader, engineer Nguyen Sy Thang consistently sets an example, initiates and fully participates in labor and production emulation movements… Thanks to this, in recent years, Ha Tinh Power Transmission Company has effectively participated in and implemented emulation movements; bringing enthusiasm to all cadres and employees in their material and spiritual lives."
Not stopping there, with his passion for research, exploration, and the development of innovative technical improvements, engineer Nguyen Sy Thang has contributed to "igniting the flame" of creativity in the workplace.
