Hospital expansion
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has just sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee reporting on the situation of land and housing arrangement after the merger of the two levels of government and the plan to start construction of projects to welcome the Party Congress.
For the old Ho Chi Minh City area, the City Department of Health and the People's Committee of District 6 (old) have agreed on a plan to propose the City People's Committee to approve the allocation of a land lot at 621 Pham Van Chi, Ward 7, District 6 (old) with a total area of more than 23,000m2 to the Eye Hospital to invest in the second facility project.
The expected scale of facility 2 includes 200 - 300 beds, 1 basement and 5 upper floors with a total investment of 700 billion VND.
At the same time, in order to reduce the load on the main facility of the existing Eye Hospital, the Department of Health said that through a survey of suitable locations in the city center and based on the opinions of the People's Committee of Xuan Hoa Ward and the Department of Finance; the Department of Health proposed that the City People's Committee consider approving the policy of handing over the house and land at 299 Dien Bien Phu Street, Xuan Hoa Ward to arrange for hospital expansion.
This address is currently vacant, formerly the office of the District 3 mass organization managed by the People's Committee of District 3 (old) with a land area of 1,649m2, floor area of 1,293m2.
According to the leader of the Eye Hospital, the hospital currently receives an average of more than 4,000 patients per day for examination, treatment, and surgery.
With an area of only about 15,000 square meters, the hospital is always overloaded, especially in the morning due to people's medical examination habits.
A series of facilities 2 and 3 of the final hospital in Ho Chi Minh City will be deployed.
For the old Binh Duong area, the City People's Committee has agreed to assign Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital to set up its second facility at the Binh Duong Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Hospital project and the Mental Hospital to set up its fourth facility at the Binh Duong Mental Health Hospital project.
Accordingly, Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital and Mental Hospital are ready to prepare human resources in both expertise and hospital management according to the established project, and will go into operation immediately after the project is repaired and renovated.
In the old Ba Ria - Vung Tau area, address 13 Pham Ngoc Thach, Ba Ria ward will be handed over to Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital to receive and deploy the second facility.
At the land plot 22 Le Loi, Vung Tau ward, Tu Du Hospital or Hung Vuong Hospital will receive and deploy the second facility.
Address 74 Ba Cu Street, Vung Tau Ward, assigned to the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital to receive and deploy the second facility to enhance the capacity of receiving, screening, testing, storing and supplying blood.
Building a satellite blood security center to ensure the ability to respond to emergency situations (accidents, epidemics, disasters), contributing to reducing the load and shortening the time of transporting blood from the city to the old Ba Ria - Vung Tau area and neighboring localities.
