This is an annual, interdisciplinary series of international scientific conferences focusing on topics relevant to Vietnam, including: social sciences, humanities, arts, creative industries, media, digital transformation, sustainable development, and cultural heritage.

The workshop is the culmination of a long-standing collaborative journey between the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts, Vietnam National University , Hanoi , and the Engaging with Vietnam Network.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said: "For the cultural industry to truly break through, we need an interdisciplinary knowledge ecosystem that closely integrates culture, art, technology, economics, and media. This requires creative, open-ended educational programs that equip the new generation of human resources with digital and AI capabilities. At the same time, we need to strengthen public-private partnerships and international cooperation models to learn advanced technologies, management experiences, and expand markets."

The Vietnam Connectivity International Conference aims to promote in-depth, open, and highly critical academic dialogues on topics related to knowledge, education, culture, technology, innovation, and development in the context of Vietnam's integration with the world.

Simultaneously, it aims to open up new approaches to creating and sharing knowledge about Vietnam, ranging from traditional fields such as social sciences and humanities to interdisciplinary fields such as arts, creative industries, education, media, digital transformation, and sustainable development.

Furthermore, it is essential to strengthen connections and collaboration between domestic and international academic communities. This will create a deep, sustainable, and intergenerational network of research and innovation.

Discussing the issues raised at the conference, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu remarked that the conference's theme is timely, reflecting the profound changes of the times; especially in the context of strong globalization and digital transformation, knowledge, culture, technology, and innovation are becoming decisive factors in the competitiveness of each nation.

For Vietnam, the cultural and creative industries have enormous potential, based on a rich national culture, diverse heritage, a young and dynamic workforce, and the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Rector of the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), we are living in an era of global knowledge shifts and challenges. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Rector of the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts, delivered a speech at the event.

"Today, nations compete not only with material resources but also with their ability to create new value from knowledge, design, technology, and cultural identity. However, this also leads to a redefinition of how we learn and create, especially in the context of the digital age," said Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu.

In particular, the development of artificial intelligence technology in the last few years has not only changed the nature of work and the future of creative activities, but has also re-examined human nature, the creative subject, intellectual property rights, technological ethics, and the role of art in the age of machine learning.

"In this context, an in-depth analysis of the relationship between education, knowledge, technology, innovation, and culture is of particular importance to Vietnam," added Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu.
