(Chinhphu.vn) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 433/QD-TTg dated May 21, 2024 to complete the members of the National Forestry Planning Appraisal Council for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 (the Council).

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang is Chairman of the National Forestry Planning Appraisal Council for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

According to the Decision, the Chairman of the Council is Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang. The Vice Chairman of the Council is Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan.

The Council members include: Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tri, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; representatives of the Ministry of Planning and Investment; representatives of the Ministry of Finance; Mr. Chu An Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Land Resources Development, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

The Council members also include: Representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology; Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Transport; representatives of the Ministry of Construction; Mr. Luu Quang Vu, Deputy Director of the Department of Operations, General Staff, Ministry of National Defense; Mr. Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Mr. Y Thong, Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee; Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee; Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council; Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thuy, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Science, Technology and Environment Committee.

In addition, the Council members include: Mr. Lo Van Tien, Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee; representative of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee; representative of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; representative of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Le Van Su, Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Mai Kieu, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Thuan Province; Mr. Vo Dai Hai, Director of Vietnam Forestry Science Institute, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Tran Van Chu, former Principal of the Forestry University, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The reviewers include: Mr. Trieu Van Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Forestry Science and Technology Association (former Director of the Vietnam Forestry Science Institute); Mr. Nguyen Ba Ngai, Vice Chairman, General Secretary of the Vietnam Forest Owners Association (former Deputy Director General of the General Department of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development); Mr. Cao Chi Cong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Timber and Forest Products Association (former Deputy Director General of the General Department of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development).

The independent expert is Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nghia (former Director of Vietnam Forestry Science Institute).
