On the morning of February 20th, the People's Committee of Kien Xuong district held a ceremony to launch a campaign encouraging businesses to compete in boosting production and business in 2024.

Comrade Dang Thanh Giang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, presented flowers to congratulate the Kien Xuong District Business Association.

Attending the event were: Dang Thanh Giang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Dong Thuy, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee; Vu Thanh Van, Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Vu Ngoc Tri, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Nguyen Van Huy, Provincial Party Committee Member, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

The leaders and delegates attended the launching ceremony.

In Kien Xuong district, there are currently over 400 operating businesses, creating jobs for nearly 20,000 workers. The business community has continuously improved production lines, invested in technology, and enhanced product quality and productivity, creating jobs for many workers and contributing to the state budget. This has helped bring the total production value of the district in 2023 to over 13,700 billion VND, an increase of 3.64% compared to the same period; the budget revenue in the district reached nearly 1,800 billion VND, exceeding the assigned target. In particular, during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024, the business community and entrepreneurs coordinated with the district's Party committee and government to donate over 22,000 gifts with a total cost of over 17.2 billion VND to poor households and families in difficult circumstances.

Nearly 20,000 workers are employed stably in businesses in Kien Xuong district.

At the launching ceremony, the leaders of the District People's Committee called on businesses to continue to leverage their experience and creativity, uphold the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement, overcome difficulties, and strive to achieve the highest possible results in production and business activities. They also urged continued collaboration with the district Party Committee and government in implementing the 2024 theme of "Responsibility, Discipline, Breakthrough, Development," completing socio -economic development goals and tasks at a high level, with a total production value increase of 10.5% compared to 2023, per capita income reaching 63 million VND or more; and the poverty rate targeted to be reduced to below 1.7%.
