Timely rescue of 11-year-old boy falling from high-rise apartment building to supermarket roof in Ha Dong

According to information from Hanoi City Police , at 4:44 p.m. on December 9, the City Police Command Information Center received a report from residents at Lane 102 Tran Phu, Ha Dong Ward about a child falling from a high floor of an apartment building to the roof of a supermarket below.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Center urgently mobilized 01 rescue vehicle, 01 ladder truck, 02 fire trucks along with officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Area No. 04 and No. 15, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police to the scene to organize rescue.

At the scene, through initial information, it was determined that the victim was a child about 11 years old, who fell from a high floor onto the supermarket roof, with a broken arm and leg. Although still conscious, he was unable to move on his own.

The fire commander urgently directed officers and soldiers to quickly approach and coordinate with medical forces to put the victim on a stretcher, perform first aid, splint the injured areas, and at the same time deploy a team to bring the victim from the roof to a safe position by ladder truck, handing him over to medical forces for further treatment.

Currently the baby's health is basically stable, not life-threatening.

The victim is being monitored and treated by doctors at the medical facility. The cause of the incident is being investigated by the authorities.
