According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the morning of December 10th to the night of December 10th, Hue City and the South Central coastal region will experience moderate to heavy rain with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 40-70mm, and in some localized areas, very heavy rain exceeding 150mm. A warning has been issued regarding the risk of heavy rainfall exceeding 100mm/3h.
On the day and night of December 10, the Central Highlands will have scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall of 10-30mm, with some places having heavy rain of over 70mm.
From December 10 to December 11, the Southern region will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms with common rainfall of 20-50mm, locally heavy rain over 100mm.
From December 11, heavy rain in Hue city and the South Central coastal region will decrease.
There is currently a low pressure area active at sea. At 1:00 a.m. on December 10, the center of the low pressure area was at about 8-9 degrees North latitude; 111.0-112.0 degrees East longitude.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that in the next 12 hours, the low-pressure area will move in a west-southwest direction at a speed of about 20km per hour, weakening and gradually dissipating.
Due to the influence of low pressure circulation, combined with cold air, the southern East Sea area has strong winds of level 5, gusting to level 7; the western sea area of the southern East Sea area (including the western sea area of Truong Sa special zone), the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau and the northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) has strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9, waves from 2-4m high and thunderstorms, strong gusts. The sea is rough.
Vessels operating in the above mentioned sea areas should take proactive precautions to ensure safety.
