KLH HAGL AGRICO Laos applies mechanization to its cattle farming operations.

To meet the feed needs for a herd of nearly 10,000 cattle by the end of 2024, KLH HAGL AGRICO Laos has invested in John Deere 6155M tractors and Celikel Challenger 4 lawn mowers.

Compared to the older Celikel Challenger 2 lawn mower, the Celikel Challenger 4's productivity has increased significantly, reaching approximately 10-12 tons of grass per hour, shortening harvesting time and reducing labor costs. Meanwhile, the John Deere 6155M engine provides powerful pulling and drive, combined with the Celikel Challenger 4's cutting attachment featuring sharp blades, an integrated blade sharpening mechanism, and a flexible shredding system, resulting in fast and efficient grass harvesting.

With their ability to work on large areas and high efficiency, the combination of the Celikel Challenger 4 lawn mower and the John Deere 6155M tractor saves time, reduces labor, and ensures consistent grass harvesting quality without the need for manual handling. In addition, these two devices optimize the harvesting process, minimize resource waste, and ensure a safer and more efficient working environment.

Regular and proper maintenance is crucial to ensuring the longevity and performance of equipment. Mr. Tran Nhat Tam, Director of KLH's Internal Transportation & Logistics Department, shared: “After numerous trials with the John Deere 6155M tractor and Celikel Challenger 4 lawn mower, we highly appreciate the equipment's performance and durability. Tests have shown that the machine operates stably, allowing us to harvest grass quickly and efficiently over large areas. The workforce directly operating the equipment consists of tractor operators with over 3 years of experience, ensuring the machinery is in optimal condition. As a result, operation is continuous and uninterrupted, guaranteeing a high-quality feed supply for our cattle.”

According to the plan for 2025, HAGL AGRICO Laos will continue to invest in more modern machinery and equipment to meet the increasing demand for grass harvesting, ensuring a sufficient supply of high-quality feed for the cattle herd under expanding farming conditions.
