Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh has just signed and issued Plan No. 286/KH-UBND on organizing a national celebration to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
The ceremony was organized by the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the National Assembly, the President, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Hanoi City; the implementing unit was Hanoi City.
The event will be held at 9:00 a.m., October 10, 2024 (Thursday) at the National Convention Center, Gate 1, Thang Long Avenue, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi and broadcast live on VTV1, Vietnam Television. The event will be attended by about 3,000 delegates including representatives of Central leaders; leaders of Hanoi city; international delegates; delegates of outstanding citizens of the capital; international, Central and Hanoi press reporters...
The Department of Culture and Sports is assigned to be the standing agency, providing comprehensive advice to the City People's Committee in preparing for the celebration; presiding over and coordinating with relevant units to develop, receive and complete the draft Celebration Plan, and submitting it to the City People's Committee for approval. Presiding over and coordinating with relevant units to contact, urge and inspect the City's units to organize the implementation of assigned tasks, summarizing the results and progress of the implementation, and reporting to the City for timely handling of matters beyond its authority.
The City also assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to develop a script for the Celebration Program; script, content and implementation of a special art performance program at the Celebration, and send it to the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Central Propaganda Department for appraisal according to regulations.
The City People's Committee requested that the Celebration Ceremony be organized on the right scale; solemn, economical, practical, effective, associated with propaganda activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024); creating an exciting and competitive atmosphere among cadres, party members and people./.
