Signing of cooperation between Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee and Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry

Provincial leaders and Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry attended the signing ceremony.

Attending the signing ceremony were comrades: Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dr. Bui Ngoc Hung, Chairman of the University Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry; leaders of departments, branches, units of Ninh Thuan province and leaders, former leaders, staff, lecturers of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry.

Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan signed the cooperation agreement between the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee and Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry.

The two sides signed and committed to promoting cooperation in the fields of training, fostering, and scientific research in accordance with the functions, tasks, and capabilities of the two sides. Specifically, they will train and foster human resources according to local needs; foster and improve professional skills and management capacity for the team of managers, civil servants, and public employees of Ninh Thuan province in the fields that the locality needs; coordinate and organize research on scientific topics in Ninh Thuan province in fields including fields that are potential and strengths of Ninh Thuan province. In addition, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province hopes that Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry will have a roadmap to support the construction of a Branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in Ninh Thuan becomes a strong branch when it meets all the conditions to become Ninh Thuan University in the future in the spirit of Resolution 115/NQ-CP dated August 31, 2018 of the Government and Submission No. 6234/TTr-BKHĐT dated August 5, 2024 of the Ministry of Planning and Investment .

Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the signing ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the signing ceremony will help the close relationship between the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province and the University of Agriculture and Forestry of Ho Chi Minh City to a new level of sustainable cooperation, helping Ninh Thuan develop even more strongly. The province highly appreciates and respects the cooperation of the University of Agriculture and Forestry of Ho Chi Minh City in developing a cooperative relationship in training qualified and high-quality human resources; theoretical and practical issues in the fields of training, scientific research, technology transfer and international cooperation. In the coming time, the province hopes that the University of Agriculture and Forestry of Ho Chi Minh City will pay attention and create conditions for Ninh Thuan to develop a cooperative relationship to promote socio-economic development. On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, he expressed his sincere thanks to the leadership, teachers and all staff and lecturers of the University of Agriculture and Forestry of Ho Chi Minh City for always accompanying and supporting the province during the past time.
