Disciplinary action against some leaders and former leaders of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province

Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, was reprimanded for violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Central Disciplinary Committee has imposed disciplinary action against him by the Party.

On January 18th, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed decisions imposing disciplinary measures on several current and former leaders of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee. According to Decision No. 77/QD-TTg dated January 18, 2024, Mr. Nguyen Hong Quang, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, was disciplined with a warning for violations and shortcomings in his work, following disciplinary action by the Central Inspection Committee . The disciplinary action period is calculated from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1328-QD/UBKTTW dated November 30, 2023, of the Central Inspection Committee on Party disciplinary action. In Decision No. 78/QD-TTg dated January 18, 2024, Mr. Huynh Khanh Toan, former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, was disciplined with a warning for violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Central Inspection Committee had already imposed Party disciplinary action; the disciplinary action period is calculated from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1329-QD/UBKTTW dated November 30, 2023, of the Central Inspection Committee on Party disciplinary action.

Disciplinary action in the form of removing the title of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province for the term 2016-2021 (according to Decision No. 79/QD-TTg dated January 18, 2024) was taken against Mr. Tran Dinh Tung, former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, due to violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Party Central Committee had already taken disciplinary action against him; the disciplinary action takes effect from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1066-QDNS/TW dated December 21, 2023 of the Party Central Committee on disciplinary action. Disciplinary action in the form of a warning was taken against Mr. Dinh Van Thu, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province (according to Decision No. 80/QD-TTg dated January 18, 2024), due to violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Central Inspection Committee had already taken disciplinary action against him. The period of disciplinary action begins from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1327-QD/UBKTTW dated November 30, 2023, of the Central Inspection Committee.

According to Decision No. 81/QD-TTg dated January 18, 2024, Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, was disciplined with a reprimand for violations and shortcomings in his work, following disciplinary action taken by the Central Inspection Committee; the disciplinary action takes effect from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1326-QD/UBKTTW dated November 30, 2023, of the Central Inspection Committee. These decisions are effective from January 18, 2024.
