Attending the 2024 Pink Holiday campaign on Phu Quy Island were Mr. Ngo Van Cuong - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Ms. Tran Thi Diem Trinh - Secretary of the Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union, and Mr. Truong Minh Quang - Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Youth Union.

Also present were leaders from various departments and units of the Central Youth Union, volunteers, union members, young people, and residents of Phu Quy island district.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union Ngo Van Cuong said that the "Pink Holiday" volunteer campaign aims to promote the pioneering role of Youth Union members and young people who are cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, and laborers, applying their professional skills to participate in volunteer activities and serve the community.

This is also a rich and vibrant practical environment where everyone can hone their skills, awareness, and actions, take on challenging tasks, and contribute their youthful energy to the community.

The activities of the 2024 Pink Holiday campaign focus on promoting the professional expertise of each unit and industry cluster, through specialized teams at all levels, applying digital transformation, and mobilizing resources to support socio-economic development in disadvantaged areas such as Youth Settlement Villages, Youth Islands, and ethnic minority areas.

The "Pink Holiday" event organized on Phu Quy Island will feature various activities in the model residential area, including setting up stalls with traditional games for children, a flag-lined rural road project, beautifying the embankment, medical check-ups and treatment, dispensing medicine, and giving gifts to workers…

In the coming period, the Central Committee of the Youth Union will continue to implement the "Pink Holiday" campaign in disadvantaged areas nationwide, including Binh Phuoc , Cao Bang, and other locations.

"We are in the peak of the summer volunteer campaign in general and the 'Pink Holiday' campaign in particular nationwide. Hundreds of thousands of union members, young civil servants, and workers across the country are enthusiastically contributing their intellect and youthful energy to volunteer activities for the community, with many practical and safe activities that bring about great results," Mr. Cuong shared.

Mr. Cuong added: "The value of the Pink Holiday campaign also lies in the fact that we affirm the ideals and methods of implementation of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, promoting noble ideals and harnessing the youthful energy of young people to contribute to the community, not just living for themselves."
