Celebrating the 995th anniversary of the name Nghe An, the 95th anniversary of the Nghe Tinh Soviet and receiving the certificate of ranking as a special national monument of the Nghe Tinh Soviet

On the evening of September 12, at the Nghe An-Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Museum, Nghe An province solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 995th anniversary of the name Nghe An (1030-2025), the 95th anniversary of the Nghe Tinh Soviet (September 12, 1930-September 12, 2025), received the Certificate of ranking as a special national monument "Places marking the Nghe Tinh Soviet Movement (1930-1931) in Nghe An" and launched the night experience show "Soviet Fire".

Earlier, on the afternoon of September 12th, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and his delegation offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien Historical Site; laid flowers and offered incense at the Temple of King Mai Hac De; and laid flowers and offered incense to commemorate General Secretary Le Hong Phong at the Le Hong Phong Memorial National Site.

Prior to the commemoration ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and other delegates laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the great resistance wars of the nation at the memorial house within the grounds of the Nghe An - Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum.

Attending the commemoration ceremony were: former Politburo member and former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung; Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Policy and Strategy Board Thai Thanh Quy; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Board Nguyen Quang Duc; Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung; Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duy Lam; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong; veteran revolutionaries, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; and leaders of departments, agencies, and units of Nghe An province.

Honoring and spreading historical values, cultural traditions, revolution and cultural identity of Nghe An

The celebration aims to contribute to affirming, honoring, and spreading the historical values, cultural traditions, revolutionary spirit, and cultural identity of Nghe An throughout its 995-year history since the name Nghe An was first recorded in historical books.

At the same time, we express our gratitude and honor to the generations of ancestors who made many contributions and sacrifices in the cause of nation-building and national defense, especially their great contributions to the Nghe Tinh Soviet revolutionary struggle of 1930-1931.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province Le Hong Vinh emphasized that, having gone through nearly 10 centuries under the name Nghe An, this land has witnessed and participated in every transformation of the nation.

Over the past 995 years, we have preserved, created, cultivated and crystallized noble cultural and spiritual values. The name Nghe An, therefore, has become a source of pride, a symbol of the will, determination and aspiration to rise of many generations.

In that journey, the Nghe Tinh Soviet was the first general rehearsal, the heroic prelude to the great victory of the August Revolution in 1945. Ninety-five years have passed, but the legacy of the Nghe Tinh Soviet remains invaluable, with traces preserved in this revolutionary homeland.

"Proud of our past, we are even more deeply aware of our responsibility to the present and the future. Building on our glorious traditions, in recent years, the Party Committee, government, and people of Nghe An have united as one, striving to overcome all difficulties and challenges, achieving comprehensive and proud accomplishments," said the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

Mr. Le Hong Vinh stated that a new era and new opportunities are opening up, presenting both opportunities and challenges for Nghe An; fulfilling President Ho Chi Minh's wish to make Nghe An a prosperous province of the country, the cadres, Party members, and people of the province will uphold the spirit of unity, overcome difficulties, be proactive and creative, promote the patriotic emulation movement, and be determined to successfully complete the set targets, goals, and tasks.

Continue to promote and spread the value of historical sites.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong stated that Nghe An needs a comprehensive and detailed plan for socio-economic development, linked to historical and cultural relics in the province. This is especially important for relics related to the Nghe Tinh Soviet Movement.

At the same time, we will continue to research and collect historical documents, coordinating with the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to build scientific dossiers of other typical relics of this movement, creating a comprehensive and unified complex of relics.

Training and developing a high-quality staff at the historical site, possessing strong professional skills and revolutionary moral character, is essential to effectively guide and welcome domestic and international visitors to this special national historical site complex.

Focus resources and strengthen coordination with socio-political organizations to invest in, restore, preserve, and promote the value of historical sites in a manner befitting the strength of the working class and peasantry; of the worker-peasant alliance under the leadership of the Party.

On the occasion of the 995th anniversary of the name Nghe An (1030-2025) and the 95th anniversary of the Nghe Tinh Soviet (September 12, 1930 - September 12, 2025), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with L'Héritage Group, is launching the "Soviet Fire" night experience show.

This is the first professional cultural industry product in Nghe An and Central Vietnam to apply Industry 4.0 technology, aiming to honor and help audiences deeply understand the immense historical values ​​of the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement.

The highlight is the spectacular 3D Mapping performance, combining music and laser light, recreating the Soviet spirit of 1930-1931.

The program will initially open every Saturday, becoming a new nighttime destination in Nghe An; offering a meaningful, emotional, and modern cultural experience for locals and tourists.
