Previously, on the afternoon of September 12, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and the delegation offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien Relic Site; offered flowers and incense at the Temple of King Mai Hac De; and offered flowers and incense to commemorate General Secretary Le Hong Phong at the National Relic Site of General Secretary Le Hong Phong.
Before the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and delegates offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the great resistance wars of the nation at the memorial house in the grounds of the Nghe An - Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Former Politburo member, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung; Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee Thai Thanh Quy; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Quang Duc; Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung; Secretary of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duy Lam; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong; revolutionary veterans, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; leaders of departments, agencies, branches and units of Nghe An province.
Honoring and spreading historical values, cultural traditions, revolution and cultural identity of Nghe An
The celebration aims to contribute to affirming, honoring and spreading the historical values, cultural traditions, revolution and cultural identity of Nghe An throughout the 995 years since the name Nghe An was recorded in history books.
At the same time, we pay tribute to and honor the previous generations who made many contributions and sacrifices in the cause of building and defending the country, especially the great contributions in the Nghe Tinh Soviet revolutionary movement 1930-1931.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh emphasized that, over nearly 10 centuries under the name Nghe An, this land has witnessed and participated in every change of the nation.
Over the past 995 years, we have preserved, created, cultivated and crystallized noble cultural and spiritual values. The name Nghe An, therefore, has become a source of pride, a symbol of the will, determination and aspiration to rise of many generations.
In that journey, the Nghe Tinh Soviet was the first general rehearsal, the heroic epic that preceded the great victory of the August Revolution in 1945. 95 years have passed, but the Nghe Tinh Soviet heritage still retains its value with traces preserved in this revolutionary homeland.
"Being proud of the past, we are more deeply aware of our responsibility for the present and the future. Promoting the glorious tradition, over the past years, the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An have united, strived to overcome all difficulties and challenges, and achieved comprehensive and proud achievements," said the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province.
Mr. Le Hong Vinh said that the new era, new opportunities are opening up, the road ahead is opening up for Nghe An both opportunities and challenges; to carry out President Ho Chi Minh's will to make Nghe An a well-off province in the country, cadres, party members and people of the province will uphold the spirit of solidarity, overcome difficulties, be proactive and creative, promote the patriotic emulation movement, and be determined to successfully complete the set targets, goals and tasks.
Continue to promote and spread the value of historical sites
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong said that Nghe An needs to have a comprehensive and detailed plan for socio-economic development, linked with historical and cultural relics in the province, especially relics related to the Nghe Tinh Soviet Movement.
At the same time, continue to research and collect historical documents, coordinate with the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to build scientific records of other typical relic sites of this movement, creating a widespread and unified relic complex.
Train and foster a team of cadres of the Relic Site with high professional quality and revolutionary ethics to well perform the task of introducing and welcoming domestic and international visitors when they come to this special national relic complex.
Concentrate resources and strengthen coordination with socio-political organizations to invest in, restore, embellish, and promote the value of worthy relics to affirm the strength of the worker-farmer masses and the worker-farmer alliance under the leadership of the Party.
On the occasion of the 995th anniversary of Nghe An's name (1030-2025), the 95th anniversary of Nghe Tinh Soviet (September 12, 1930 - September 12, 2025), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with L'Héritage Group launched the night experience show "Soviet Fire".
This is the first professional cultural industrial product, applying digital technology 4.0 in Nghe An and the Central region to honor and help the audience deeply understand the great historical values of the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement.
The highlight is the spectacular 3D Mapping performance, combining music and laser light, recreating the Soviet spirit of 1930-1931.
The program will initially open every Saturday, as a new nighttime destination in Nghe An; bringing a meaningful, emotional and modern cultural experience to locals and visitors.
