According to the information on the distribution of scores for the high school graduation exam announced by the Ministry of Education and Training on the afternoon of July 15th, for the 12 subjects in the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 general education program, the number of exam papers achieving perfect scores is over 15,300.
In particular, Geography led in the number of perfect scores (10 points) with 6,907 papers; Physics had 3,929 perfect scores; and History had 1,518 perfect scores… Meanwhile, English only had 2 perfect scores, and Literature had no perfect scores at all.
Notably, in addition to high scores in English as in previous years, developed provinces and cities also have very high scores in Mathematics, Literature, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, etc., with Hanoi being a prime example.
In this year's high school graduation exam, Hanoi consistently appeared in the statistics of localities with the highest average exam scores and also led in the number of perfect scores (10 points) in the most subjects.
Specifically, for Mathematics, Hanoi had over 120,000 candidates but the average score in mathematics ranked second nationwide with 5.275 points; including 93 perfect scores of 10 - leading the country.
For the Literature subject, with a total of over 120,000 candidates, Hanoi ranked third in average score (7.626 points).
For Physics, Hanoi had over 34,000 registered candidates; Hanoi's average physics score ranked 5th nationwide (7.224 points) and 2nd nationwide in the number of perfect scores (556 perfect scores).
In Computer Science, Hanoi leads the country in the number of perfect scores (9 scores of 10).
In Chemistry, Hanoi ranked 3rd nationwide in average score (6.453 points) and led the country in the number of perfect scores (83 perfect scores).
For Biology, Hanoi had nearly 3,700 registered candidates; the average score in Biology ranked second nationwide (6.370 points), and the city had 7 perfect scores (ranking second nationwide).
In the subject of Economic and Legal Education, Hanoi had the most perfect scores (10 points) with 172 perfect scores; ranking 6th in average score (7,860 points). The total number of candidates taking this subject in Hanoi was over 25,000.
In particular, for English, Hanoi leads the country in both the number of perfect scores (10 points) and the average score for the subject. The city has 56 perfect scores in English; Hanoi's average English score is 5.780 (with a total of approximately 60,000 test-takers).
In this year's high school graduation exam, Hanoi has the largest number of candidates nationwide, with over 120,000 students participating. To ensure effective exam supervision, the Hanoi City Examination Council has arranged 5,587 rooms (including 5,172 exam rooms, 182 waiting rooms, and 233 reserve rooms) at 233 examination centers.
