Lai Chau prepares carefully for the 2nd Lai Chau Marathon in 2025

This afternoon (September 22), the Organizing Committee of the 2nd Lai Chau Marathon 2025 with the theme "Call of the great forest, footsteps of aspiration" met at the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to unify the assignment of tasks and preparations for the organization of the Race.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Tran Van Cong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the participation of members of the Organizing Committee according to Decision No. 26/QD-SVHTTDL, dated September 10, 2025.

At the meeting, the Organizing Committee asked for opinions and agreed to assign tasks to members, and reviewed a number of important contents related to logistics and service work for the Tournament.

Comrade Tran Van Cong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism discussed the event schedule.

According to the progress report, up to now, directive documents, organization plans, propaganda plans, and security and medical assurance have been issued; the route survey has been carried out twice, completing the plan to arrange 16 water supply points, 4 ambulances with 36 medical staff, and 50 referees participating in the operation.

Communication activities were promoted with the production of clips, trailers, promotional reports, hanging 30 banners, 130 pennants along central routes and building a check-in area to promote Lai Chau culture and landscape at the Provincial People's Square. Up to now, more than 1,300 athletes have registered to participate in the tournament, of which nearly 500 athletes are Lai Chau residents.

Representatives of Lai Chau Newspaper, Radio and Television leaders spoke at the meeting.

In the coming time, the Organizing Committee will continue to focus on mobilizing service forces, training security, medical staff, volunteers (October 2) and training referees to run the tournament (October 3); preparing to welcome and distribute BIBs to athletes on October 4, 2025 at the Provincial People's Square.

The 2nd Lai Chau Marathon, an important highlight of Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2025 (expected to take place in 02 days from October 3 - 5, 2025) , promises to bring unique sports - tourism experiences to the people and tourists.
