Following GPBank's initial interest rate hike at the beginning of October, Vikki Bank has become the next bank to increase deposit interest rates starting today (October 6th). This marks the second consecutive increase in deposit interest rates within two months.

Accordingly, this bank increased online deposit interest rates by 0.1%/year for terms of 1-3 months; by 0.2%/year for terms of 6 months; and by 0.1%/year for terms of 12-13 months.

With the above adjustments, the latest online savings interest rates listed by Vikki Bank are 4.35%/year for a 1-month term, 4.4%/year for a 2-month term, and 4.45%/year for a 3-month term.

Notably, Vikki Bank is the only bank currently listing online deposit interest rates at 6% per year for a 6-month term and up to 6.2% per year for 12-13 month terms.

Thus, Vikki Bank is leading the market in deposit interest rates for terms starting from 6 months.

Vikki Bank also leads the market in interest rates for deposits with terms under 6 months, matching the rates listed by VCBNeo.

Similar to the adjustment on September 21st, the over-the-counter savings interest rates at Vikki Bank remain unchanged. Specifically: 1-month term is 3.9%/year, 2-month term is 4%/year, 3-4 month term is 4.15%/year, and 5-month term is 4.3%/year.

Vikki Bank is currently offering savings interest rates of 5.3%/year for 6-month terms, 5.35%/year for 7-8 month terms, 5.45%/year for 9-11 month terms, 5.65%/year for 12-month terms, and 5.7%/year for 13-month terms.

The highest deposit interest rate listed at the counter by Vikki Bank is 5.9% per year, applicable to deposits with terms of 18-36 months.

Vikki Bank continues to maintain a special interest rate policy for customers depositing savings at the counter, with the highest rate reaching 7.5%/year if customers deposit savings for a 13-month term, with a minimum deposit of 999 billion VND.

Thus, after a series of banks offered additional interest rates to depositors as an unofficial way of increasing interest rates, from the beginning of October until now, two banks have officially increased deposit interest rates: Vikki Bank with the increase as mentioned above and GPBank increasing deposit interest rates by 0.1%/year for terms of 6-36 months.
