Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Political Bureau, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, and Head of the Project, chaired the conference.

Comrades Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy and Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; and Dinh Ngoc Giang, Director of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, co-chaired the conference.

The summary report of the Project, presented by Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, clearly stated: Following the directives of the Central Party Secretariat, and to meet the research and learning needs of a large number of Vietnamese people abroad and international friends about President Ho Chi Minh, on August 4, 2021, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics decided to establish the Project Steering Committee and diligently directed the organization and implementation of the Project, ensuring the highest quality in content and form for each volume and each language.

The project to select representative works of Ho Chi Minh includes his writings, speeches, letters, telegrams, press interviews, etc., to form an 8-volume book series, arranged by themes: National independence; peace and friendship among nations; democracy and social progress; culture and humanity... and translated into 5 languages: English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Chinese.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang highly appreciated and commended the efforts, sense of responsibility, intellect, dedication, and enthusiasm of the experts, scientists, and translators in ensuring the accurate selection and translation, and the complete transmission of the original meaning of the representative works of President Ho Chi Minh.

The Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy emphasized: The book series has rich content, reflecting the core values ​​of Ho Chi Minh's thought, ethics, revolutionary methods, and style; a shining example of the spirit of sacrifice and dedication for the independence and freedom of the nation, the happiness of the Vietnamese people, contributing to building a peaceful, democratic, progressive, developed, and prosperous world.

At the same time, the Steering Committee and the advisory staff are directed to coordinate closely with experts, scientists, and translators; with the National Political Publishing House to continue editing, refining, and improving the quality of the manuscripts of the books and to publish the complete set of books as soon as possible; and to develop a plan, roadmap, and methods for widely and promptly distributing the book set to readers and international friends.
