Party and State leaders congratulate the leaders of the Cambodian People's Party, Government and National Assembly of Cambodia on successfully organizing the election of the 7th National Assembly.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam warmly congratulate Cambodia on successfully holding the 7th National Assembly election.

On the occasion of the successful conclusion of Cambodia's 7th National Assembly elections on July 23rd, on July 25th, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent a congratulatory letter to the Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Techo Hun Sen. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also sent a congratulatory phone call to Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen. National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sent a congratulatory letter to National Assembly Chairman Samdech Heng Samrin.

With close and affectionate feelings, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam warmly congratulated Cambodia on successfully organizing the 7th National Assembly election, especially the high voter turnout, and the safe, free, and fair nature of the election, demonstrating the confidence of Cambodian voters in the future development of their country.

Vietnamese leaders congratulated the CPP on its great victory in the election and stated that the election results once again affirmed the role and position of the CPP under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen. They also expressed confidence that Cambodia would soon establish a new National Assembly and Government to lead the Cambodian people in continuing to build a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Cambodia with an increasingly prominent role and position in the region and the world.

Regarding Vietnam-Cambodia relations, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other leaders expressed their confidence that the good neighborly relations, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability between Vietnam and Cambodia will be further strengthened and developed vigorously for the benefit of the people of both countries, making a positive contribution to the ASEAN Community, and to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

On this occasion, Head of the Central Committee's Foreign Affairs Department Le Hoai Trung and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son also sent congratulatory letters to the Head of the CPP's Central Committee's Foreign Affairs Department, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia Prak Sokhonn.
