During the meeting, leaders of Duy Xuyen and Nong Cong districts recalled the tradition of solidarity and close ties since their fraternal relationship. Whether during the fierce and difficult war or in peacetime , the two localities have shared joys and sorrows, encouraged and supported each other in developing and building their homelands.
The leaders of the two districts also provided a general overview of the local socio -economic situation in the past period and expressed their joy at the daily changes in both localities; they hoped to continue to nurture the Nong Cong - Duy Xuyen relationship, making it even stronger and more sustainable.
On this occasion, the Nong Cong District Cultural, Information, Sports and Tourism Center is hosting a trade promotion festival, showcasing and introducing typical OCOP products from Nong Cong and Duy Xuyen districts. The Duy Xuyen District Cultural, Sports and Information Center is also organizing two nights of traditional folk singing performances for the people of Nong Cong district.
* On the evening of June 1st, at the Nong Cong District Cultural, Information, Sports and Tourism Center, the Nong Cong District People's Committee organized a cultural and artistic exchange program titled "Duy Xuyen - Nong Cong: Unwavering Friendship, Partnering for Development".
At the event, on behalf of the officials and people of Duy Xuyen district, Mr. Phan Xuan Canh - Chairman of the District People's Committee - presented 5 billion VND to support Nong Cong district in building cultural facilities.
