Joining the delegation were Huynh Thi Thuy Dung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; Nguyen Cong Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Le Thai Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
On behalf of the provincial leadership, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet extended congratulations on the Buddha's Birthday celebration; he highly appreciated and welcomed the spirit of Buddhism accompanying the nation, and the spirit of "Buddhism, nation, and socialism" among the religious leaders, monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers of Quang Nam.
Through Buddhist activities, Buddhist dignitaries, monks, and nuns have encouraged, guided, and mobilized the people, Buddhists, and followers of the Buddhist faith to support the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State, actively participate in humanitarian and charitable activities, and help the province have more conditions to fulfill its socio-economic development tasks and ensure national defense and security.
The Provincial Party Secretary expressed gratitude for the companionship of the Venerable monks and leaders of the Provincial Buddhist Association of Vietnam, and hoped that in the future, Buddhism in Quang Nam would continue to accompany the development of the province; and continue to work with the political system, the Party, and the State to care for the lives of the people in general and the lives of Buddhist families in particular.
Venerable Thich Phuoc Minh, Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Nam province, expressed gratitude for the attention and congratulations from the provincial leaders, while emphasizing that the spirit of Buddhism has always accompanied the nation both during the resistance war and in peacetime. Venerable Thich Phuoc Minh stated that the Executive Board and Buddhist dignitaries will strive to contribute to the province's development to the best of their ability.
* Earlier, a delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and other political and social organizations and religious groups, led by Mr. Le Thai Binh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, visited and congratulated the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province on the occasion of the 2024 Buddha's Birthday Celebration.
Mr. Le Thai Binh stated that 2024 is the year of the Fatherland Front Congresses at all levels and the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Nam province (2024-2029 term).
