Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia congratulated the winners and said that the award ceremony of the third national art photography contest "Fatherland on the shore of the waves" was held in the context that the entire Party, people and army are promoting patriotism, national pride, aspiration for national development, determination to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, preparing to organize the 14th National Congress, election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. The contest has been held 3 times, has created many impressions and has had a profound influence, becoming one of the effective methods in information and propaganda work on seas, islands and international integration.

To continue to effectively carry out propaganda work on the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized the need to do well the following contents: Deeply and comprehensively understand the viewpoints, policies, and guidelines of the Party, and the State's laws and policies on sea and islands; continue to innovate the content and methods of information and propaganda work on sea and islands, especially foreign information; focus resources on digital transformation, improve combativeness, educational quality, and persuasiveness in information and propaganda work on sea and islands; constantly improve the quality of the staff working on information and propaganda work on sea and islands.

Launched from March to July 2025, the Contest received 15,770 photographic works from 3,514 authors from 34 provinces and cities nationwide. Not only did the quantity increase, the quality of the works this year also made significant progress. Through elaborate selection rounds, the jury selected 150 outstanding works to introduce at the Exhibition, of which 22 best works were awarded prizes. Of which, the two works that won the First Prize of the Contest belonged to two authors: Nguyen Viet Hoang Long (Quang Ninh), with the single photo "Under the shadow of the national flag"; Nguyen Khac Hao (Hung Yen), with the photo series "Bustling anchovy season".

At the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia and General Trinh Van Quyet and other leaders presented logos, medals and certificates to the winning authors; and also presented Certificates of Merit from the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission to 8 provinces and cities with outstanding achievements in coordinating the implementation of the Contest.

From the results of the 3rd "Fatherland on the Shore" Contest, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission continues to coordinate with relevant agencies to promote the compilation of: bilingual photo books, electronic photo books, virtual reality exhibitions and organize photo exhibitions in provinces and cities.
