Officials, civil servants, and employees are entitled to one day off for Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and five consecutive days off for Victory Day (April 30th) and International Labor Day (May 1st).
Based on Article 112 of the 2019 Labor Code, in 2024, employees will have 6 major holidays , including Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, which is one day (10th day of the 3rd lunar month - April 18, 2024).
Also in April and early May, workers get time off for Victory Day on April 30th and International Labor Day on May 1st.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to swap working days during the April 30th and May 1st holidays in 2024.
Accordingly, employees will have their normal working day off on Monday (April 29) swapped with Saturday (May 4). Thus, civil servants and public employees will have 5 consecutive days off from Saturday (April 27) to Wednesday (May 1).
