Quang told Le that for over 20 years, he had become accustomed to being the only one Mr. Vinh cared for, looked after, and worried about. Therefore, he couldn't accept sharing Mr. Vinh with anyone else besides himself. When Ms. Trang Dai appeared, Quang felt he couldn't accept it.

Le advised Quang that he would eventually have someone else to care about besides Mr. Vinh, and then Mr. Vinh would be lonely. Le reminded Quang to pay attention to his father's emotional well-being, especially since he had been a single father for over 20 years.
