Meanwhile, Saigon - Bac Giang Industrial Park Joint Stock Company (SBG), located at Lot CC, Quang Chau Industrial Park, Nenh Ward, Bac Ninh Province, is the investor registered to implement two projects: Van Canh 1 Wind Power Plant and Van Canh 2 Wind Power Plant.
Both projects received investment approval from the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee on October 14, 2025, with a project implementation schedule of 36 months from the date of investor selection or approval as the project's implementing investor.
The Van Canh 1 Wind Power Plant project has a total investment of over 6,904 billion VND and is being implemented on an area of 56 hectares in Canh Lien commune. Speaking at the 5th session of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, 12th term, 2021-2026, on the afternoon of December 9th, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, said that this term has created tremendous breakthroughs in socio-economic development, especially in budget revenue.
According to Mr. Tuan, imagine that this year, the locality could generate approximately 6,000 to 7,000 MW of renewable energy in both the eastern and western parts of the province.
This will create a major breakthrough in budget revenue, as on average, 1 MW generates 600 million in contributions to the state budget, not including accompanying services.
"Currently, the only remaining issues are the power projects that have received responses from the Inspectorate, and the province is striving to resolve four power projects with a capacity of approximately 380 MW by December," Mr. Tuan mentioned, adding that resolving these projects early would contribute to economic growth. However, he noted that this is an objective issue that the province cannot resolve immediately.
Five wind power projects worth trillions of VND have been completed but have not yet been put into commercial operation, and are included in the conclusions of the Government Inspectorate in the western region of Gia Lai province. These projects include the Cho Long Wind Power Plant Project; the Yang Trung Wind Power Plant Project; the Ia Pech Wind Power Plant Project; the Mountain Development Wind Power Plant Project; and the Central Highlands Processing Wind Power Plant Project.
