Note traffic in Saigon River tunnel from the evening of December 19 to the early morning of December 20

According to the adjustment, from 11pm on December 19 to 4am on December 20, all vehicles will be banned from traveling through the Saigon River tunnel.

A representative of the Traffic Police Department (PC08) of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that they will adjust traffic organization to serve the operation of the automatic fire extinguishing system of the Saigon River tunnel.

Accordingly, from 11pm on December 19 to 4am on December 20, all vehicles are prohibited from passing through the Saigon River Tunnel.

The alternative route is as follows:

- Traffic direction to the city center according to the route: Mai Chi Tho Street - To Huu Street - R12 Street - Ba Son Bridge - Le Duan Street - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street - Vo Van Kiet Street.

Traffic direction from Mai Chi Tho street to the center of Ho Chi Minh City.

- Traffic direction from the city center to Thu Thiem new urban area: Vo Van Kiet Street - Vo Van Kiet parallel road - Vo Van Kiet Street - Ton Duc Thang Street - Ba Son Bridge - R12 Street - To Huu Street - Mai Chi Tho Street.

Traffic direction from Vo Van Kiet street to An Khanh ward, HCMC.

The Urban Traffic Management Center will announce this adjustment information on electronic traffic information boards from Vo Van Kiet and Mai Chi Tho routes for people to grasp.

When participating in traffic, people need to pay attention to traffic regulations on electronic traffic information boards and comply with the regulations and instructions of the authorities.

PC08 will increase the deployment of forces to direct traffic and guide people to move smoothly and safely. At the same time, proactively develop plans to promptly resolve traffic incidents, so as not to affect people's travel routes.
