Hoang Nam 's opponent is currently ranked 2nd in the PPA Ranking, the strongest player in the US system tournaments. This is the first time he has participated in a stage in Asia and is the number 1 seed in the men's singles.

Previously, Ly Hoang Nam met Staksrud in the men's doubles with Xuan Duc on December 4. The Vietnamese duo tasted defeat 1-2 in this confrontation.

Entering the men's singles semi-final, Ly Hoang Nam (seed number 3) was rated lower than Federico Staksrud. However, in a day of excellent competition, Hoang Nam created an earthquake in the Pickleball world.

Vietnam's No. 1 tennis player won 11-7 in set 1. In set 2, Staksrud fought back strongly, but Hoang Nam still maintained his composure to end the set with a score of 12-10, winning 2-0 overall.

PPA Asia Hangzhou 2025, taking place from December 3 to 6 at Liping Sports Center, brings together 372 international players. The total prize money of the tournament is 50,000 USD, of which the men's singles champion receives: 1,800 USD, 1,000 Asia Tour points and 500 USA PPA Ranking points.
