The strange 'wind-breaking' formation rehearsal of Su-30MK2 and Yak-130

The Su-30MK2 fighters simultaneously accelerated, creating strong aerodynamic pressure, causing the air around the fuselage and wings to condense into a strange white smoke covering the sky of Bac Ninh during the formation training session in preparation for the September 2nd National Day.

The Air Defense - Air Force is urgently deploying training flights with many types of fighter aircraft, ready for performances in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

At Kep airport ( Bac Ninh ), the meteorological reconnaissance flight to check the weather to ensure flight safety departed at 5:30 and ended at 6:30 on August 9, opening a very important practice session.

With less than a month to go until the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the training pace is getting more and more intense. At Kep airport, pilots of all units and three types of aircraft, SU-30MK2, Yak-130 and L-39NG, have gathered at the 927th Air Force Regiment (371st Division, Air Defense - Air Force) to prepare for the peak training sessions.

The tight training flight schedule requires the ground crew to be more careful and attentive, meticulously checking every detail of the aircraft. Each precise operation not only ensures absolute safety for the crew but also contributes significantly to the excellent results of the training session.

At the beginning of the training session, the first aircraft to take to the runway were the Yak-130s - multi-role trainers, light attack aircraft and reconnaissance aircraft. In formation of three, each aircraft accelerated, cutting through the wind and soaring into the air, leaving behind the roaring sound of the engines and an impressive trail of white smoke.

After stabilizing at an altitude of 600-1,000m, the formation of 6 Yak-130s began to gradually descend. Under the precise control of the pilots, the planes joined together, forming a formation of 6 planes in an isosceles triangle, flying over the simulated grandstand area at low altitude, maintaining perfect distance, spacing and altitude difference.

The Su-30MK2 fighters took off from the runway in a 2-2-1-2-1 formation, each pair of engines roaring loudly as they soared into the sky.

Immediately after that, the L-39NG training aircraft continued to take off in 2-2 formation, maintaining a steady and precise flight rhythm, ready to join the airborne training formation.

Continuing the performance, a formation of 4 L-39NG training aircraft entered the formation, followed by 5 powerful Su-30MK2 “king cobras”. Closing the formation was a formation of 3 aircraft, creating an impressive succession in the sky.

A formation of 6 Yak-130s and 5 Su-30MK2 fighters simultaneously entered the performance area, performing a spectacular formation separation maneuver.

The powerful wings twist in the sky, creating soft yet powerful curves, showing off the skillful control techniques and perfect coordination of the pilots.

From the soaring wings, slender but decisive cuts extend, fully displaying the beauty and power of speed.

The simultaneous acceleration creates strong aerodynamic pressure, causing the air around the body and wings to condense into a white smoke covering.

During the 5-hour training session, the squadrons of 3 types of aircraft Su-30MK2, Yak-130, L-39NG completed the training exercises excellently.

Political Commissar of Division 371 Nguyen Nhu Khoat said that A80 is a particularly important political task, a great responsibility for officers and soldiers. Right from the beginning of the year, the unit has issued resolutions, directives and detailed plans for each task and each department to ensure synchronous and unified implementation. Each officer and soldier is thoroughly informed and studied to build the highest determination.

"The unit in charge closely coordinates with southern forces such as Divisions 370, 372 and the Air Force Officer School. The jet force is concentrated at Kep airport, the helicopter force is deployed at Hoa Lac airport," said Mr. Khoat.

According to Mr. Khoat, during this training session at Kep airport, from 3-4 hours, the logistics department completed the work of ensuring the runway, taxiway, parking lot and technical condition of the aircraft. The pilots performed close coordination and worked together smoothly to meet the requirements of training large formations, high flight intensity in harsh hot weather conditions. All demonstrated a high spirit of determination to ensure the best training results.
