Vietnam Fatherland Front sends message of solidarity to Cuba

On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Committee for the Defense of the Cuban Revolution (September 28, 1960 - September 28, 2025), Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, sent a congratulatory letter to Mr. Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Chairman of the Committee for the Defense of the Cuban Revolution.

In the letter, Mr. Do Van Chien highly appreciated the efforts of the Cuban Party, State, and people over the past years, despite facing many difficulties and challenges due to the embargo. He emphasized that, in this common effort, the Cuban Committee for the Defense of the Revolution played a core role, uniting all strata of the people to make important contributions to the cause of protecting the revolution and national security, while promoting social and community activities, and building and developing Cuba.

Mr. Do Van Chien affirmed that the Vietnamese people and the Vietnam Fatherland Front always cherish the solidarity and sincere support and assistance that Cuba has always given to Vietnam; and are proud of the special, steadfast relationship between the two Parties, two States, and the people of the two countries, which was diligently nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh , President Fidel Castro, and successive generations of leaders and people of both countries.

He stated that, in the context of a volatile world , the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and people of Vietnam will always stand shoulder to shoulder with the Party, State, and people of Cuba, seizing opportunities and overcoming difficulties and challenges to develop their country.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front highly values ​​and wishes to strengthen cooperation with the Cuban Committee for the Defense of the Revolution in the future, especially in implementing the cooperation agreement for the period 2023-2028 signed between the two sides, bringing the cooperative relationship to a deeper, more practical and effective level, for the benefit of the people of both countries.
