A Red Wings Boeing 777, en route from Moscow to Phuket (Thailand), made an emergency landing at Moscow's Domodedovo airport after the plane's left engine caught fire, Izvestia reported.
The cause was a change in the operating parameters of one of the engines, causing the left engine to catch fire.

"At 10:53 p.m. on December 3, a Red Wings Boeing 777 landed safely at Domodedovo Airport in Moscow. The plane was en route to Phuket (Thailand) with 425 people on board, including 13 crew members and 412 passengers," Artem Korenyako, a representative of the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency, informed.
According to the airline, the crew responded to the situation promptly.
No one was injured in the incident, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency added. "All passengers were taken back to the airport and received their luggage. Some returned home, some stayed in hotels. The airline had to adjust the departure schedule of some flights," Domodedovo Airport said.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
