Widespread heavy rain in the North, the South beware of tornadoes and lightning

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (June 25), in the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain in some places.

Specifically, in the North and Thanh Hoa , the total rainfall from 1am today to 24 hours later is 40-90mm, in some places over 110mm; in Nghe An it is 30-60mm, in some places over 70mm.

In the next 24 hours, in the Northeast, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, rainfall will be 30-60mm, in some places over 80mm.

In the Northwest, from the night of June 25, heavy rain gradually decreased.

The Meteorological Agency forecasts that on June 26-27, the North and North Central regions will continue to have showers and thunderstorms, with some areas having moderate to heavy rain.

In addition, today in the Central Highlands and the South, there will be showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, some places over 50mm. Thunderstorms will be concentrated in the afternoon and evening.

Heavy rains can cause flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas; beware of heavy rains in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. Thunderstorms can cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Today, the hot weather in the Central region gradually narrows, still occurring in the area from Quang Binh to Phu Yen with the highest temperature of 35 degrees and continuing to decrease.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

In the North (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An), it is cloudy with moderate rain, heavy rain, some places with very heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms; in the South, it is cloudy, sunny during the day, some places are hot, in the evening and at night there are showers and thunderstorms in some places. Southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees, some places in the North below 25 degrees. Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees, some places above 35 degrees; Thanh Hoa-Nghe An 30-33 degrees.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Cloudy, sunny during the day, with some hot weather in the North; showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Southwest wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees. Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees; in the North, some places are above 35 degrees.

Central Highlands
