Heavy rain across a wide area in the North, while the South should be wary of tornadoes and lightning.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (June 25th), Northern Vietnam, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will continue to experience moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain.

Specifically, in Northern Vietnam and Thanh Hoa , the total rainfall from 1 am today to 24 hours later will be 40-90mm, with some areas exceeding 110mm; in Nghe An, it will be 30-60mm, with some areas exceeding 70mm.

Over the next 24 hours, rainfall in the Northeast region, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, and Nghe An will be 30-60mm, with some areas receiving over 80mm.

In the Northwest region specifically, heavy rain gradually decreased from the night of June 25th.

The meteorological agency forecasts that on June 26-27, showers and thunderstorms will continue in Northern Vietnam and North Central Vietnam, with localized moderate to heavy rainfall.

Additionally, today in the Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam, there will be showers and thunderstorms, with localized moderate to heavy rain, with rainfall amounts of 15-30mm, and in some places over 50mm. The thunderstorms will mainly occur in the afternoon and evening.

Heavy rains pose a risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas, and flooding in low-lying areas; be prepared for heavy rainfall in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

Today, the hot weather in Central Vietnam is gradually receding, remaining in the area from Quang Binh to Phu Yen with a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius and continuing to decrease.

Northwestern region

Cloudy, with moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. Light winds. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Northeastern Vietnam

Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees. Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees, with some areas exceeding 31 degrees.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

In the North (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An), it will be cloudy with moderate to heavy rain, very heavy rain in some areas, and scattered thunderstorms; in the South, it will be cloudy with sunny days, hot in some areas, and scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Southwesterly winds will be at level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees Celsius, with some areas in the North below 25 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees Celsius, with some areas above 35 degrees Celsius; specifically in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, 30-33 degrees Celsius.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Cloudy with sunny periods, especially in the North where it will be hot; scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the evening and at night. Southwesterly winds at 2-3 Beaufort. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees Celsius; in the North, some areas may exceed 35 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands

Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas, especially in the late afternoon and evening, with moderate to heavy rain in some localized areas. Southwesterly winds at 2-3 Beaufort. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 20-23 degrees. Highest temperature: 29-32 degrees, with some areas exceeding 32 degrees.

Southern Vietnam

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees.
