Receiving Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasimalyev on the occasion of his official visit to Vietnam, on the afternoon of March 6, at the Presidential Palace,President Luong Cuong emphasized that the visit is of great significance, opening a new page in the relationship between Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan, contributing to realizing the determination of the leaders of the two countries in further strengthening bilateral cooperation in all fields.
At the reception, Prime Minister Akylbek Kasimalyev informed the President about the effective and substantive talks with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , thanked the leaders and people of Vietnam for their warm welcome to the delegation, especially the President for taking the time to receive the delegation.
After listening to the President's presentation on the achievements of the Doi Moi process, Vietnam's foreign policy of peace, independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification, Prime Minister Akylbek Kasimalyev expressed his deep impression of the strong development that Vietnam has achieved in recent years and affirmed that Kyrgyzstan always attaches importance to and has good feelings for Vietnam, highly appreciates Vietnam's role in the region and the world; and wishes to further promote the good traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

President Luong Cuong expressed his pleasure at meeting the Kyrgyz Prime Minister; affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam will always remember the support and assistance that the people of the Soviet Union, including the people of Kyrgyzstan, have given to Vietnam in the cause of national liberation, national defense, as well as in the current socio-economic construction and development.
Acknowledging the positive growth trend of bilateral trade in recent years, President Luong Cuong said that the figure is still too modest compared to the total trade turnover of each country and the potential and strengths of the two sides in this field; at the same time, he emphasized that ministries, branches and functional agencies of the two countries need to strengthen coordination to concretize the determination and agreements of the two countries' senior leaders to promote cooperation in all fields, especially trade-investment, education-training, science-technology, transportation, energy, mining, promoting cultural exchanges, etc.
President Luong Cuong thanked the Prime Minister and the Government of Kyrgyzstan for their attention and favorable conditions, and asked Kyrgyzstan to continue supporting the Vietnamese community living and doing business stably in Kyrgyzstan, serving as a bridge to promote relations between the two countries.
Overview of the reception.
Based on the outstanding achievements in political-diplomatic and economic-trade cooperation in recent times, the President and Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan agreed to continue to strengthen political trust, increase delegation exchanges, meetings and contacts at high and all levels through all channels of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly, ministries, central branches, localities, socio-political organizations and people of the two countries; create favorable conditions for businesses of both sides to seek investment opportunities in each other's markets; and perfect the legal basis to promote bilateral relations in all fields.
Discussing international and regional issues of mutual concern, the two sides agreed to continue to closely coordinate and support each other at international organizations and multilateral forums, especially within the framework of the United Nations, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building in Asia (CICA).
President Luong Cuong affirmed that Vietnam supports and is ready to act as a bridge for Kyrgyzstan to expand relations with countries in the Southeast Asian region as well as with the ASEAN organization.

Regarding the East Sea issue, President Luong Cuong emphasized the importance of maritime security and safety and asked Kyrgyzstan to support the stance of ASEAN and Vietnam regarding the East Sea, on the basis of compliance with international law, especially the United Nations Charter and UNCLOS 1982.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan conveyed to President Luong Cuong greetings, best wishes and a letter from President Sadyr Japarov inviting President Luong Cuong to visit Kyrgyzstan. The President thanked President Sadyr Japarov and assigned the Foreign Ministries of the two countries to arrange the visit at a time suitable for both sides.
