Receiving Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan during his official visit to Vietnam on the afternoon of March 6th at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong emphasized that the visit is of great significance, opening a new chapter in relations between Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan, contributing to the realization of the determination of the leaders of the two countries to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in all fields.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Akylbek Kasimalyev informed the President about the effective and substantive talks with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , and thanked the leaders and people of Vietnam for the warm welcome extended to the delegation, especially the President for taking the time to receive the delegation.
After listening to the President share about the achievements of Vietnam's Doi Moi (Renovation) process and its peaceful, independent, self-reliant, multilateral, and diversified foreign policy, Prime Minister Akylbek Kasimalyev expressed his deep impression of Vietnam's strong development in recent years and affirmed that Kyrgyzstan always values and holds Vietnam in high regard, appreciating Vietnam's role in the region and the world; and expressed his desire to further promote the good traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

President Luong Cuong expressed his pleasure at meeting the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan; affirming that the Party, State and people of Vietnam will forever remember the support and assistance that the people of the Soviet Union, including the people of Kyrgyzstan, have given to Vietnam in the cause of national liberation, defense of the Fatherland, as well as in building and developing socio-economic development today.
Acknowledging the positive growth trend of bilateral trade in recent years, President Luong Cuong stated that the figures are still too modest compared to the total trade turnover of each country and the potential and strengths of both sides in this field. He also emphasized that ministries, sectors, and functional agencies of both countries need to strengthen coordination to concretize the determination and agreements of the high-level leaders of both countries to promote cooperation in all fields, especially trade and investment, education and training, science and technology, transportation, energy, mining, and cultural exchange.
President Luong Cuong thanked the Prime Minister and the Government of Kyrgyzstan for their attention and support, and requested Kyrgyzstan to continue assisting the Vietnamese community living and working stably in Kyrgyzstan, serving as a bridge to promote relations between the two countries.

Building on the outstanding achievements in political-diplomatic and economic-trade cooperation in recent times, the President and Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan agreed to further strengthen political trust, enhance exchanges of delegations, and hold high-level and other meetings and contacts through all channels: Party, State, Government, Parliament, central ministries and agencies, localities, political-social organizations, and the people of both countries; facilitate businesses from both sides in seeking investment opportunities in each other's markets; and improve the legal framework to promote bilateral relations in all fields.
Discussing international and regional issues of common interest, both sides agreed to continue to coordinate closely and support each other in international organizations and multilateral forums, especially within the framework of the United Nations, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building in Asia (CICA).
President Luong Cuong affirmed that Vietnam supports and is ready to act as a bridge for Kyrgyzstan to expand relations with countries in the Southeast Asian region as well as with ASEAN.

Regarding the South China Sea issue, President Luong Cuong emphasized the importance of maritime security and safety and requested Kyrgyzstan to support the stance of ASEAN and Vietnam concerning the South China Sea, based on adherence to international law, especially the United Nations Charter and UNCLOS 1982.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan conveyed to President Luong Cuong greetings, best wishes, and a letter from President Sadyr Japarov inviting President Luong Cuong to visit Kyrgyzstan. President Luong Cuong thanked President Sadyr Japarov and instructed the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries to arrange the visit at a time convenient for both sides.
