A Swiss man won the jackpot of more than 1,800 billion VND

The winning ticket belonged to someone living in the German- or Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, Swiss Lotoo said, without giving details, including the lucky winner's identity.

The ATS Keystone news agency reported that this was the biggest winner in the more than 50-year history of Swiss Lotto. The previous record was 48.6 million francs.

The identity of the winner was not announced.

In 2016, the larger prize was worth 70 million francs but it was split between three players.

Swiss Lotto is a Swiss lottery company headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, providing lottery, sports betting and online gaming services for the German-speaking cantons of Ticino and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Swiss Lotto says it has created more than 1,000 millionaires since its first draw in 1970.
