Leverkusen will find it difficult to keep Jeremie Frimpong.
Under pressure from manager Erik ten Hag, Manchester United's sporting department decided to accelerate negotiations with right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Bayer Leverkusen intends to keep Frimpong, but the club understands that this will not be easy.
Interest from Manchester United and many other big clubs makes it very difficult for Leverkusen to keep Frimpong for another year. Therefore, the German team is waiting for the most financially reasonable offer.
Frimpong scored 9 goals and provided 10 assists. The Dutch player's effective attacking contributions are a key asset that manager Ten Hag wants to add to Manchester United.
Leverkusen spent €11 million to sign Frimpong from Celtic two years ago. Manchester United would have to spend more than three times that amount if they wanted to secure the signature of the 22-year-old Dutch player.

Bayern Munich continues to demonstrate its dominance in German football by finalizing personal agreements with Raphael Guerreiro, whose contract with Borussia Dortmund has just expired.
Guerreiro is one of the players that coach Thomas Tuchel values in building a team according to his own football philosophy.
Currently, Guerreiro is preparing with the Portuguese national team for the EURO 2024 qualifiers.
Bayern Munich has set a deadline for signing Guerreiro after the international break for all national teams.
Bayern's agreement with Guerreiro runs until 2026. The German champions are also reportedly in contact with Manchester City to loan Julian Alvarez, but the chances of success are not high.

Liverpool have expressed interest in negotiations for Federico Chiesa.
The European football transfer market is heating up as Liverpool have also joined the race to sign Federico Chiesa.
MU contacted Chiesa early on after the EURO 2020 champion expressed unhappiness with life at Juventus.
Liverpool have also reacted to the decision to compete with their arch-rivals. Manager Jurgen Klopp is drafting a plan to enter into negotiations with the Allianz Stadium side.
Roberto Firmino's departure has left a huge void, so Klopp needs new players to bolster the attack, as Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo have both been ineffective.
According to Calciomercato, Liverpool are expected to offer Juventus £30 million for Chiesa.
