The 33-year-old has launched a harsh attack on Liverpool and manager Arne Slot after the 3-3 draw at Leeds United, where he was benched for the third consecutive season.

Salah believes he is being treated unfairly after all his contributions to The Kop over the years, feeling like he's been "thrown under the bus".

The Egyptian striker also hinted that this weekend's match against Brighton could be his last for the Reds.

Salah will travel with Egypt to the Africa Cup of Nations and will not return to Liverpool until mid-January, with a potential move to the Middle East a possibility.

Saudi Pro League scouts have long wanted Salah's services. Remember in the summer of 2023, Al-Hilal sent an offer of 150 million pounds but was rejected by Liverpool.

However, any deal would be a far cry from the asking price two years ago, with the Saudi Arabian giants only willing to pay £50m in transfer fees.

Because Salah is 2 years older and has clearly expressed personal frustration with Liverpool's leadership, Al-Hilal is confident in an affordable deal.

Recruitment in the Saudi Pro League is being handled centrally by the Player Acquisition Centre of Excellence (PACE) run by former Chelsea director Michael Emenalo.

According to sources from the Middle East, Salah is considered by PACE to be a "top player", so they can attract him with extremely attractive salary and bonus.
