The announcement stated that the current flood situation is complicated, the water level in rivers continues to rise, to ensure the safety of teachers and students, the Department of Education and Training of Hue City requested schools and educational institutions to continue to let students stay home on Monday (November 3).

For some schools in mountainous areas that are not flooded, the Department of Education and Training assigned principals and leaders of schools and educational institutions to proactively decide on organizing teaching and learning according to the curriculum and report to the direct management agency according to regulations.

Previously, the Hue City Civil Defense Command issued a warning about a new flood due to exceptionally heavy rain in the upstream. It is forecasted that in the afternoon and night of November 2, the water level on the Huong River and the Bo River will increase rapidly, approaching alert level 3.

According to the Hue City Civil Defense Command, in the past 6 hours, the upstream area of ​​Ta Trach Lake (including Long Quang, Nam Dong, Khe Tre, Loc An, Phu Loc, Thuong Nhat communes) has had very heavy and extremely heavy rain. Total rainfall is commonly from 200-300 mm.

This agency forecasts that in the next 3-6 hours, the rain will spread to the entire Hue city, but this upstream area will continue to have especially heavy rain.
