The company has implemented a comprehensive range of solutions, especially promoting electricity conservation in production and daily life; disseminating legal regulations and measures for efficient and effective energy use; implementing electricity demand management programs, encouraging large customers to proactively adjust and reduce their electricity consumption from the national power grid, shifting loads, contributing to reducing peak power demand during peak hours of the power system, and alleviating grid overload.
In particular, Quang Nam Power Company, in coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade, effectively implemented the "Household Electricity Saving Program 2024" and inspected key energy-consuming facilities. The company signed electricity saving commitments with 100% of its customers in the administrative, public lighting, industrial production, and service business sectors.
In order to reduce pressure on the Central Vietnam power system during peak hours in the dry season months of 2024, through the work of Quang Nam Power Company, 142 production and service businesses with an annual output of over 1 million kWh have signed agreements to participate in the Demand Response (DR) program with the potential to reduce maximum power consumption by 42.4 MW, shifting a portion of electricity consumption from peak hours to adjacent off-peak hours from April to July.
In 2024, the total amount of electricity saved throughout the province was over 78.81 million kWh, equivalent to 3.25% of the commercial electricity output of PC Quang Nam, exceeding the assigned plan (3%) by 0.25%, equivalent to 6.06 million kWh of electricity.
